Thank you Rob Stinman for questions about Governor Jerry Brown’s plan to build a pair of 35-mile-long tunnels, to transport water under the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay Delta.
This plan makes no sense to me.
What is needed in California is a common sense view of how water is used and prioritized. Not politics. Not special interests.
Let’s take into account the legitimate needs of our agricultural businesses, the day to day needs of our people, and the needs of our amazing California ecology.
We should make better use of our water and not waste money by tunneling 35 miles into the earth to move water from one agricultural area to another.
I am against this plan.
All major California newspapers are against it.
Other than Jerry Brown, I do not know anyone who is for these tunnels.
For once, we all agree.
